High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Sahaj Grover (born 1995) is a chess prodigy from Delhi, India. In July 2005, he won the Under-10 World Chess Championship held in Belfort, France, by drawing his game against Jekhongir Vakhidov of Uzbekistan in the 11th and final round. His FIDE Elo rating as of November 2009 is 2372. Chess prodigies are children who play chess so well that they are able to beat Masters and even Grandmasters, often at a very young age. Chess is one of the few sports where children can compete with adults on equal ground, it is thus one of the few skills in which true child prodigies exist. Expectations can be high for chess prodigies, while some become World Champions, others fail to make progress in adulthood.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. A child prodigy is someone who at an early age masters one or more skills at an adult level. One heuristic for classifying prodigies is: a prodigy is a child, typically younger than 15 years old, who is performing at the level of a highly trained adult in a very demanding field of endeavor. The giftedness of child prodigies is determined by the degree of their talent relative to their ages. Examples of particularly extreme child prodigies would include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in music, Judit Polgár in chess, Carl Friedrich Gauss and John von Neumann in mathematics, Pablo Picasso in art, and Saul Kripke in philosophy. There is controversy as to at what age and standard to use in the definition of a prodigy.
