My STEAM Notebook is an elementary science interactive workbook that brings the past into the future in a powerful way. Primary source documents from 150 years of American scientists provide an amazing look into the practice of keeping a science notebook. Featuring notebooks from ten scientists, students learn how to write and draw in ways that help develop their understanding of science. The workbook helps teachers implement the Next Generation Science Standards, the Common Core State Standards for ELA, and the STEAM initiative. Historical documents are interspersed with notebook pages for students to use in recording observations. Historical documents will: • Emphasize the importance of writing in science and model effective writing and drawing to record observations • Introduce students to eleven American scientists who have made lasting contributions • Introduce students to a variety of scientific fields • Demonstrate the importance of notebooks across a wide variety of science specialties including ornithology (birds), behavioral evolutionary biology, malacology (mollusks), botany (plants), entomology (insects), zookeeper, epidemiology (infectious diseases), agrostology (grasses), ichthyology (fish), and taxidermy (preserving specimens). Using the interactive notebook pages, students will learn to: • Record observations through writing and drawing • Develop explanations and arguments based on evidence • Write narrative and informative essays • Understand the interconnections between drawing and writing to provide information The notebook pages are deceptively simple in their organization. Headers encourage careful recording of important information, and a Table of Contents keeps everything at the students fingertips. Odd-numbered pages provide a grid for math or handwriting help. Even-numbered pages are for free-form writing, drawing, or gluing in teacher-provided worksheets. Each scientist inspires suggestions for how to work in the notebook. Sample STEAM questions-Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math-are included for each scientist. This is a nuts and bolts interactive STEAM notebook that will help elementary science come alive for students.
This theory-to-practice guide offers leading-edge ideas for wide-scale curriculum reform in sciences, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics--the STEAM subjects. Chapters emphasize the critical importance of current and emerging digital technologies in bringing STEM education up to speed and implementing changes to curricula at the classroom level. Of particular interest are the diverse ways of integrating the liberal arts into STEM course content in mutually reshaping humanities education and scientific education. This framework and its many instructive examples are geared to ensure that both educators and students can become innovative thinkers and effective problem-solvers in a knowledge-based society. Included in the coverage: Reconceptualizing a college science learning experience in the new digital era. Using mobile devices to support formal, informal, and semi-formal learning. Change of attitudes, self-concept, and team dynamics in engineering education. The language arts as foundational for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Can K-12 math teachers train students to make valid logical reasoning? Moving forward with STEAM education research. Emerging Technologies for STEAM Education equips educators, education researchers, administrators, and education policymakers with curricular and pedagogical strategies for making STEAM education the bedrock of accessible, relevant learning in keeping with todays digital advances. Xun Ge is Professor of Instructional Psychology and Technology and Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology, Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, the University of Oklahoma. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Ges primary research interest involves scaffolding students complex and ill-structured problem solving and selfregulated learning through designing instructional scaffolds, cognitive tools, learning technologies, and open learning environments (including virtual learning community, game-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and problem-based learning). Over the past years, her scholarly works has evolved to link cognition to motivation. Dr. Ge is also interested in studying the impact and assessment of game-based learning in supporting complex, ill-structured problem solving. Dr. Ge has extensive research experience in STEM education, and she has collaborated with scholars from diverse disciplines around the world. Dr. Ges research has been published in a co-edited book published by Springer, multiple book chapters in some highly regarded books, and numerous articles in many leading journals of the field, not to mention many other conference proceeding papers. Dr. Ge has been recognized for three prestigious awards she has received- 2012 Outstanding Journal Article, 2004 Outstanding Journal Article 2003 , and Young Scholar awarded by Educational Technology Research & Development and the American Educational Communications and Technology. The exams have been particularly brutal this semester for the gals and they needed to find a way to relieve some of the pent-up stress before they blew a gasket. Tarin, the wild one, talked her roommate in to playing hooky for the day so she could teach her own lesson. Boy oh boy, was Patti glad she did, what she learns won´t get her a degree, but what it will do is put a big smile on her face. Priceless! Warning: This audiobook contains very explicit descriptions of barely legal lesbian sex. Only mature adults who will not be offended by such content should read this story. Here is a preview: Tarin stood and licked her lips slowly, and she unbuttoned the rest of her top like she was a stripper putting on a show for a client. She dropped her top to floor and stared at Patti with a smirk. Tarin swayed her hips back and forth as she danced around the kitchen table. ´´I know a better way a girl can make another girl feel special, sees that it is just us after all.´´ ´´How would you do that?´´ Patti muttered as she rubbed and pinched her clit. Tarin smiled and a soft moan escaped Patti´s lips. ´´Well let me see. I am sure I can think of a few things.´´ Tarin swayed her hips in front of her, and she watched as Patti continued to rub her clit. ´´You could be a doll and unzip my shorts. They are so tight and if my pussy doesn´t get some attention soon, I think I might explode.´´ Tarin continued to dance for Patti and she unclasped her bra then let it fall to the floor. ´´Or I could take them off for you instead. This way, I could turn around, bend over and give you a very good look at my pussy. Would my little sex kitten like that? I know the boys would. Boys like it when I´m dirty. They love it when I shake my ass for them. What about you Patti?´´ 1. Language: English. Narrator: Jennifer Saucedo.
